A little about me and when I started this scrappy journey
I am Mum to 4 girls, married to my best friend Dave and live in Tasmania Australia.
I started scrapbooking in 2005. A friend had been scrapping for years and had always shown me her work. One day it dawned on me... I CAN DO THAT. So I started and have enjoyed the evolution of each page. I love leaving a little of myself on each page, love to share the story as I see it, love to speak words of wisdom so our 4 girls will be able to 'hear my heart' and I love being able to be creative after years of telling myself I was not.
My Work, or why I scrap
Each page I create is different to the previous. I let the story/memory dictate the feel of the page. I am not afraid of using different techniques or products. I love to journal and make the page breathe life. I enjoy creating pages that are simple but have often worked on pages that are messy and full. I keep an art journal, love to make mixed media and have recently started making Artists Trading Cards. I scrap 12x12, 8.5x11 and 6x12 as well as different 'not the norm' page sizes, depending on the story I want to tell. I enjoy making mini albums when I have a bigger story to tell. I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to go into our school and teach scrapbooking over the last two years. 2011 I taught 2 Grade 6 groups how to make a journal type scrapbook and we filled the books with the different techniques I taught them.

My Objectives
I love to inspire others to scrap and keep those memories alive. I encourage others to step out and try scrapbooking and to see that it isn't full of rules and that anyone can use this medium to leave a little of themselves. I love that this craft allows you to use many types of art forms to express your own story. I am interested in Design Teams that allow people to be stretched, to motivate others and that support each other. I would love to be part of a team that built relationships and communication and allowed scrappers of all styles and formats to be a part of a community that built up each other. I am looking for Guest Design Team work, manufacturer work etc as well as a Design Team spot in a team with regular work. While I do have current commitments, they do allow me to take on more and I am up for the challenge as I give 110% to each of those commitments.
